Crosswalk Community Small Groups
Thanks for stopping by to visit our Small Groups page. The following are some often-asked questions that will help you to understand Crosswalk Community Church's Small Groups.
What is a small group?
Small groups are gatherings of people who meet on a weekly basis for fun, fellowship, and learning while growing together in their relationships with God. Small groups provide support in times of crisis, change, and stress.
I attend church on Sunday. Why should I join a small group?
An individuals' relationship with God should be more that just a Sunday morning event. Small groups are one way of extending this relationship through the week. They offer something that isn't easy to achieve in a more formal setting - the ability for the participants to interact with each other. Have you ever listened to a message in church and wanted to stop the speaker and ask, "What about...?" or "I don´t understand!" In a small group setting, you can ask questions, participate in a discussions, and hear others share insights and illustrations of the truth you are trying to grasp.
How often do small groups meet?
Most groups meet one night a week for a couple of hours at the home of a group member.
Can I bring my children?
Yes, children always find plenty to do (including games, homework, playing with the family pets).
Doesn't this get "old" after a while?
That's something we guard against. To keep that from happening, groups may choose not to meet for a while or do something different occasionally such as going out for dinner or playing games (At CrossWalk, the card game "Phase 10" is very popular).
